This intensive part-time programme will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to become a practising counsellor. For many of our students, it’s a personal journey with huge challenges and a great sense of achievement. You’re not just learning how to do something, you’re learning how to be something.
Why choose this programme?
Gestalt is a creative, hands-on and hugely practical approach to counselling. As well as giving you the tools to help others see the possibility for change, Gestalt can lead to much increased self-acceptance and awareness.
On successful completion of the Diploma in Counselling* you will be a registered member of the BACP and eligible for BACP accreditation, after completing the required number of client/supervision hours. Everything you need to work with a range of clients is provided in our professional, accredited programme.
How the programme works
The programme is comprised of a one-year part-time standalone Certificate in Humanistic Counselling Skills followed by a two-year part-time BACP Accredited Diploma in Counselling* for those who successfully complete the Certificate year and an interview process for the Diploma course. Along the way, you’ll acquire the advanced interpersonal skills to help clients explore and express their thoughts and feelings. You’ll be learning alongside other like-minded people from staff with unrivalled experience, both in practice and in teaching.
