About our main training courses
We offer two pathways leading to full BACP or UKCP accreditation as an individual and group trained Gestalt therapist. Both programmes begin with an introductory 1 year training:
- Our Diploma in Professional Development , year 1 of our Psychotherapy programme, or
- Our Certificate in Humanistic Counselling.
Many students take these courses as a stand-alone option for personal growth, and both pathways lead to the opportunity to apply for our 2-year part-time BACP accredited Diploma in Counselling, or our 5-year part-time UKCP accredited Psychotherapy training, working towards an accredited MA in Gestalt Psychotherapy and Psychotherapy Practitioner Diploma.
To help you explore whether the Counselling or Psychotherapy route is for you, we offer a range of online and in-person short courses.
Introductory events and courses and a regular series of Personal Development weekends and 10- week courses offer an excellent opportunity to experience group work using the Gestalt method over a longer period. They are a great way to find out more about Gestalt theory, practice and our training.
For those considering pursuing Gestalt psychotherapy or counselling as a client or for personal exploration, our Gestalt Taster Event offers a mixture of experience, exploration and information.
All of our training takes place in-person at our Centre and runs part-time across various evening and daytime formats.
