Each of the psychotherapists on this register is a practitioner member of the Gestalt Centre and thus is registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). UKCP accreditation means that they are fully qualified, covered by professional indemnity insurance and are required to be in regular supervision. They provide a range of services including individual psychotherapy; psychotherapy for couples; group psychotherapy and supervision. They also work with staff teams as consultants and facilitators. Using additional skills, experience and training, each member has developed particular areas of expertise and created an individual style of working.

Carmen Joanne Ablack (UKCP) is on GC faculty. Originally qualified as an integrative and body psychotherapist, plus teaching / supervising on large group process counselling trainings in London, she undertook post-qualification training at GC. Carmen sees couples, groups and individuals for psychotherapy, supervision and coaching in N8. An honorary fellow of UKCP and former trustee, she sits on European Association for Body Psychotherapy board. She is a regular attender and contributor to psychotherapy conferences and in various publications. Carmen offers clinical and consultancy supervision and is a long-standing organisational development consultant, coach and mediator.
Tony Ambrose (UKCP Reg) has over 20 years’ experience as a psychotherapist. His inclusive approach embodies clarity, compassion and wholeness, especially drawing on: mindfulness, trauma recovery, emotion regulation, attachment, developmental/relational neuroscience, and Internal Family Systems (level 1 cert). Paul Amundsen is an experienced UKCP Registered Psychotherapist who has worked in education and health service settings with adolescents and their families. He is an associate tutor and facilitator with the Gestalt Centre’s BACP accredited Diploma in Counselling course. He works with individuals and couples and also offers supervision. He works with all aspects of human experience, including the cultural, sexual and spiritual in raising awareness of the self-defeating patterns that inhibit satisfaction with life.

Adam Barrett MA particularly embraces the relational and embodiment aspects of Gestalt, integrating other trainings in sensorimotor psychotherapy and mentalization-based treatment. He is also an EMDR therapist. He works at Nightingale Hospital as a psychotherapist, group facilitator and mindfulness teacher. He is significantly experienced with: depression, anxiety disorders and PTSD/trauma recovery. Adam also studies interpersonal neurobiology with keen interest and uses this knowledge to inform his work as a therapist.
Amely Becker has been drawing much of her life’s orientation and inspiration from the Gestalt perspective and methodology and also from Eastern Thought, mainly through Tibetan Buddhism. She completed her Gestalt Psychotherapy training in the late 80’s and has since then maintained a private practice. Jon contributes regularly to psychotherapy conferences and has authored several publications. Kate Merrick MA is a UKCP registered psychotherapist working in private practice and is particularly interested in the recovery of trauma and healing old wounds. Integrating Gestalt therapy with EMDR, as well as up to date research in trauma, attachment, somatic psychotherapies and neuroscience, Kate works creatively with a strong grounding in body awareness and experimentation. Barbara Morgan is a UKCP Gestalt Psychotherapist and Supervisor, Family Constellations Practitioner, Trainer and Supervisor working in Frome and Bath with individuals, couples and groups. Alivia Rose is a Senior Gestalt Psychotherapist qualified at the Gestalt Centre 1983. She works with individuals, couples and groups and supervises psychotherapists and counsellors. Heather Styles is an experienced psychotherapist – her initial training was with the Gestalt Centre, London, leading to UKCP accreditation. During her working life she has worked in many different NHS settings, including within psychiatry, drug and alcohol services and within physical health setting. She has an extensive experience of working with a wide range of issues, including addiction, anxiety and depression, sexual identity, trauma and bereavement/loss. Jenny Colls MA, UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and Supervisor. Jenny offers brief and longer term therapy, supervision and coaching. She specialises in individual and group supervision and is particularly interested in field phenomena, their influence on the client and vice versa. This can be especially helpful working with people who themselves work in institutions where they are affected by that system. Her original background was in the NHS and Social Services. Maggie Allport gained her Certificate in Gestalt Therapy in 1993 and MA in Gestalt Psychotherapy in 1997. She is UKCP Registered and is a Registered MBACP (Snr Accred) Counsellor/Psychotherapist. Peggy Sherno is a founding director of the Gestalt Centre. With over 30 years’ experience as a therapist, she now divides her practice between one to one work with individuals and supervision.
