Who is this course for?
This practical and experientially orientated workshop is for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who wish to develop their practice and for senior trainee therapists wishing to learn more about gestalt. Though not essential, participants will already have an interest and possibly some knowledge of the gestalt approach and want to explore this more.
Focusing on the phenomenology of gestalt therapy, the workshop will provide practitioners with skills to work with some key components including: paying attention to figure and ground, zones of awareness and detailed observation in the here and now.
This workshop will be facilitated through discussions, theoretical input outlining key ideas, practical exercises to ground the concepts in experience with time to discuss how these ideas can be applied in clinical work.
